Wedding photographer

Our super talented wedding photographer Kate Murphy just posted some new photos on her blog (what a cute wedding!). Check it out here.

Shoes

I'm on the hunt for some sexy green and/or aqua shoes (heels for ceremony/flats for reception).

I can't afford these Christian Louboutin or Christian Dior's via bluefly.com but you get the idea...

We have the same taste as Jlo?

Maria G. has already requested to sit in her seat.

via TimeOut New York:

Frankie’s 457 Spuntino
Head into Frankie’s and jet straight to their backyard garden—with ivy running up brick walls and pebbles resting under your tired feet—for mouthwatering fennel, celery root and parsley with sliced red onion, lemon and pecorino ($9) and meatballs with pine nuts and raisins ($9). For a larger private party, rent out their carriage house gone event room recently reserved by Kate Hudson and Jennifer Lopez. 457 Court St between Fourth Pl and Luquer St (718-403-0033, frankiesspuntino.com).

The Dress

So this is the winner! A lovely custom, short, romantic dress from Portland, OR designer Sarah Seven. The order has been placed! Aptly named "A Peaceful Afternoon"

No, it's not traditional and yes, I know it's not what "normal" brides where. Who said I was normal? I think it will look pretty amazing with a pair of colorful heels and it's very danceable (important in my book). Thankfully, I won't feel like I'm drowning in fabric or going to prom.

Hello Friends!

I know it's been a while. Since I've last posted, Scott and I took a trip to Vieques, Puerto Rico to hangout with wild horses/lizards/dogs and to frolic on the beach and moved boroughs from Brooklyn to Queens (ahem, a new apt with a dishwasher, woo hoo!).

So as things return to some sense of normalcy, I'll revive the wedding planning from its hiatus and start posting again.

One new update for now (first, I must unpack the last of the boxes):

After an informal poll of bridesmaids, it's looking like I'm going to let everyone pick their own dress in various shades of the wedding colors (think flowy, romantic, fun shades of sea glass). The whole idea of everyone matching just sort of creeps me out (we're not a cult people). Everyone can wear a fun party dress (and actually like them!). Afterall, a bridesmaid dress doesn't have to be a "bridesmaids dress", if you know what I mean.
